Jacqueline Daly has been a community development / drug and alcohol project worker for over 13 years in the Community Outreach Drug/Alcohol Project which is based in Cork City Partnership. Her role includes supporting communities to develop effective drug and alcohol prevention strategies at a local, regional and national level through measures including; Education and Training Programmes, Awareness Raising and Community Engagement Practices. Jacqueline returned to education as a mature student, she has an Honours Degree in Business, a Degree in Community Development and Education, Certificates in Non-Formal Guidance and in Addiction Studies. Jacqueline is passionate about empowering individuals and communities to improve life chances and opportunities for all. Jacqueline believes the Understanding Community Development module provides students with a good working knowledge of relevant community development practices.
