Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood QQI Level 6
Objective of Course:
This Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education is a skills based programme designed for those who are in a Supervisory role in an Early Years setting and builds on and expands the QQI Level 5 Certificate in Childcare to provide the learner with a comprehensive understanding of childcare and education in Ireland today. It is made up of 8 modules and each module carries a value of 15 credits, giving a total of 120 credits for the full award.

Entry Requirements:
Applicants must have completed full QQI Level 5 Award in Childcare, copy of which must be submitted on the first night of class. Students must obtain their own work placement and have current Cork ETB Garda Vetting.
Employment Opportunities:
The course is required for those who wish to register their setting in the ECCE (Free Pre-school Year) scheme. Students will be enabled to undertake a managerial role in an ECCE setting.
