In this blended-based module, upon completion of the financial services award, learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competence in the principles, concepts and practices that underpin the financial services.

Course Content

To develop the learners understanding of the role of Irish financial services in the
economy and role of lending institutions and regulatory bodies.
To enable the leaner to develop their knowledge and understanding of monetary
issues and the working of the Irish Stock Exchange.
To allow the learner to examine the impact of Europe and of technology on the
sector.
To assist the learner to develop the skills in their ability to evaluate and completed
financial services sector documentation.
To assist the learner to develop the academic and vocational language, literacy and
numeracy skills related to Financial Services through the medium of indicative
content.

Course Delivery

Students must have basic IT Skills.

Assignment 30%

Examination 40%

Examination will be held in the college.
